The Nou Mestalla begins installing the exterior pillars that will support the roof
The placement of these 38-meter-high elements marks the start of a new construction phase, in line with the planned project schedule
A former Sevilla player who featured in a handful of games for the Andalusian side in 2013/14, Denis Cheryshev returns to the Sánchez Pizjuán this weekend in excellent form -and with his best goalscoring return since his time at Real Madrid Castilla.
Cheryshev 9 goals in all competitions, including 3 in his last 2 games for the Russian national team. During the international break he was on target against Belgium and Kazakhstan, putting his country in a strong position to qualify for Euro 2020. He has scored 5 times for Russia so far this term.
For Valencia CF, he has hit the target on 4 occasions, against Celtic, Levante UD, Villarreal CF and Real Betis. Whilst he has never put a goal past Sevilla, he will look to put that right this Sunday.

Marcelino is using him predominantly in his favoured position on the left of the attack, but he has also played Cheryshev as a striker- such as at Celtic Park- when the situation calls for it, making the most of his speed and striking instinct.
